The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 La Tour Figeac sings of warm blueberries, Black Forest cake and kirsch with nuances of dried Mediterranean herbs, yeast extract, tilled soil and fallen leaves plus a hint of tree bark. Medium to full-bodied with a firm, chewy texture, the palate gives bags of herb-laced black fruit layers and a long, earthy finish.
