Domaine Jules Desjourneys Jules des Journeys Fleurie ‘Les Moriers’ Rouge Red Wine 750ml
Rather ripe but made in a crackling and fairly funky style which makes it fresh and drinkable. Indeed very less austere and monolithic than other Desjourneys reds. Medium body with quite a round texture bursting with bubbly tones of sweet dark strawberry, peach juice, licorice and leather. It shows a nice precision with savory acidity, bitter tannins and subtle metallic hints, delivering fair lenght. Playful yet rather serious nose with big strawberry on front plus notes of leather, carob, charcoal and licorice.
