A fresher and relatively elegant nose features notes of wild strawberries, spice, earth and a discreet application of wood. The old vines are in evidence as the mid-palate of the broad-shouldered flavors brim with sappy dry extract that imparts a suave texture that contrasts markedly with the palate coating, hugely long and serious youthfully austere finish.
